Holiday Beauty....

I hope that you enjoy seeing this beautiful doll! The day was so chilly and she wasn't really into having the camera in her face, but these shots are priceless and I just had to share.....

The Waters

I know that it has been several weeks since our shoot! Thank you so much for being so patient with me during this very busy time. I hope that you enjoy your sneak peek. It's amazing how quickly things have turned to winter here....these lovely leaves are no more, but I'm glad we captured them at just the right time.

Emily and Brent...

these two make such a lovely couple. I was so honored to have had the opportunity to capture their special day for them. It was also my first trip to Hiddenite, which was a very lovely drive through the country I might add. I hope that you two will have many happy years of marriage! Congratulations and best wishes!

Beautiful Family!!!

I had a great time with the Anderson family...they have such a lovely home and a great yard for playing and photographing. I know that mom was a little worried that we didn't get any good shots because the baby was so tired and fussy, but by the looks of it you would never know it. I hope that you all enjoy these and thank you for choosing me to capture your beautiful family.

The Best Gift...

that I ever got,
didn't really weigh a lot.
It didn't have a ribbon 'round and
it sometimes made a terrible sound.

Best of all it seems to me,
it wasn't neath the Christmas tree.
Yet, I guess I'd have to say...
that it made all the other presents twice as gay!

The best gift that I’ve ever known,
I'd always wanted most to own.
Yet, in my dreams of sugar and spice
I never thought it could be so nice.

The best gift that I could ever get
was sometimes dry and sometimes wet.
It was usually pink, but oftentimes red
as it lay so innocently in its bed.

The best gift of the year to me,
the one I hold most dear to me,
the gift that simply drove me wild
was a tiny new born child...

Growing Older!!!

Birthdays, aren't they great? Well they were when we were kids and I know that this guy just celebrated another one and I'm sure it was thrilling! I know what his mom is thinking, "where has the time gone?" I think that same question when I look at my own children. I remember the year that my mom turned 40, that was the same year that I turned 21 (yeah I have a young, totally cool mama)...she told me that my birthday was harder on her that year than her own was. My turning 21 was more saddening to her!!! I think that as our kids grow we as parents lose something....that is why it is so important that we capture them just as they are. I think sometimes we fear that we will forget the little things about our children: like the smile that belongs only to them, the innocence and love that their eyes hold, their ever changing look of maturing and growing. Again, that is why capturing those moments only help us to remember them in years to come, so we will never forget! I hope that I have capture this moment, this 12 year old moment, in time just for you. Happy Birthday...to son and mom both!!!

Lincoln...

does it look to you like he was puckering to kiss me! Well I'm not so sure but he had "precious" written all over him...he was so sweet and was such an active little rascal. Just a perfect gift for the upcoming holidays. Couldn't you just smother him with love!!! Kristin and Scott, I'm so glad I had the chance to photograph your little guy today. These pics make me smile and I sure hope that they bring one to your faces too!

Nikki-n-David

I remember how exciting it was to me when I first started planning my own wedding. That has been 9 years ago now...my how the time flies. Anyway, this couple reminded me of how young and new everything was. How it felt to be "getting married" and to just be starting out together. Marriage held a lot of "firsts" for me as I know it does for so many couples. Nikki and David are right in that exact spot! That happy blissful one that is so exciting. Congratulations to you both. Cherish this time!!!
